On October 15, 2026, during the Annual Meeting of the U.S. Army Association (AUSA 2026), Skydio presented its new ISR Command software. The main novelty is that a single operator can simultaneously control two X10D drones and share white information with both the U.S. Army tactical networks and other aircraft, including F-16 fighters.
The system allows you to prepare the mission before takeoff using TAK markers, extending battery life. Once in the air, the X10D can navigate with its cameras even in environments where the GNSS signal is blocked or altered. The takeoff takes place in less than 40 seconds.
By March 2026, the US Army had already acquired 2,500 X10D units. ISR Command seeks to overcome the traditional model of a drone pilot. Skydio also recalled the F-10 Lightrunner (presented in September), its first fixed wing system with robotic launch MegaDock.
This development is part of the tendency to increase the autonomy and ability of an operator to manage multiple platforms, especially in emergency response and defence environments.
