On October 5, 2026, Wing (Alphabet subsidiary) and Walmart announced that they will be bringing their drone delivery service to the Denver and Seattle metropolitan areas in 2027. The expansion brings the goal of covering more than 270 Walmart stores from coast to coast and reaching nearly 20 large U.S. metropolitan areas, with potential access for more than 40 million customers.

To date, the association has provided access to more than three million customers in areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, Houston and Orlando. Wing drones fly at speeds of up to 60 mph (about 96 km/h), carry up to 2.3 kg (5 lbs) and deliver daily products in minutes using a descent cable. Customers see the drone delivery option in the Walmart app or Walmart.com if they are in the coverage zone, or they can use the Wing app.

Denver provides frequent winter conditions and Seattle rains, which serves as a test for operational robustness. There are no specific monthly launch dates or further commercial details. In Spain, this type of large-scale commercial operation is not yet deployed and depends on the regulatory framework of EASA and EASA.
