The Qnlly Wizard X220 (or Eachine Wizard X220, as it is the same drone with different brand), is a small race drone that is designed for those who want to get started in the FPV drones as it comes set up from factory to be able to fly as you pull it out of your box.
Analysis and features of Qnlly Wizard X220
Design
The Wizard X220 design is a design that has already made other race drones popular, and has become a standard for drones of this size. One of the most important features of the design is the way in which the four arms of the drone are attached to the chassis, as they are screwed independently at the bottom of the central body. This feature allows us to replace them quickly in case of breakdown. In addition, the arms are thick with a thickness of about 4mm.
The weight of the drone without battery or propellers is about 335g. On both sides of the drone we'll find two carbon fiber plates. The plate on the front has three openings and holds the FPV camera. In total there are three openings, so we can place the camera in three positions.
The larger carbon fiber plates on the back, have the function of protecting the inner components of the drone, but in reality these are a problem when it comes to accessing the inner components of the drone. For this reason, and because they do not actually provide any structural support to the chassis, they can be dispensed with.
Issuer
FlySky FS-i6 has become famous for being so easy to get started with. We can see this station in most entry-level racing drones and also in other GPS drones and so on. The Wizard X220 comes with 3 flight modes, which can be accessed via the SWC switch located on the right side of the station.
Engines , propellers and ESC
One thing that stands out in the Eachine Wizard X220 are engines and propellers. Although the engines are 2300KV, with size 2204, these differ greatly from the previous engines that Eachine He's used it. These engines are lighter, 25g and of different design. The sound they produce gives the feeling that they hardly make any effort. Also, these engines come with different nuts similar to those used by high-end models. The propellers are 5 inches and three blades, and have a good finish, although they are somewhat thinner than the bullnose that Eachine has used before.
One of the great advantages of Wizard X220, is the fact that it comes equipped with quite lightweight ESC (or electronic speed controllers) which bring one of the most recent firmware, the so-called BLHeli_S, which will allow the drone to respond much faster and precisely to commands like acceleration and other improvements that will contribute to a better flight experience.
Flight Controller
Although the most popular flight controller these days is the F3 Racing. Eachine opted for the Naze 32 in its first version of the Wizard X220. This in itself is already an advance, as Eachine always tends to start with a CC3D flight controller and the Naze 32 is superior. Although many people consider the Naze 32 somewhat obsolete, this is a good flight controller that well tuned can do wonders. In Wizard we will find the Naze 32 DOF 6 which is a very basic version, without magnetometer or baraometer, intended especially for race drones.
FPV Camera and Video Broadcaster
To keep the drone simple and light, Eachine has not chosen to introduce cameras with CCD sensors into its models. Instead, we can see a variety of cameras with CMOS sensors, which are not the best for FPV. However, the camera that comes with the Wizard X220 of 700TVL does a decent job and gives us a good level of detail and also manages to compensate for lighting changes quickly.
The video station that comes on the drone, is quite standard, with a power of 200mW. Eachine in her first drones like the Racer 250 He chose 600mW, but has since been limited to 200mW. The good thing about this station is that it will allow us to select between 48 transmission channels.
Battery
Initially, when you realize that the battery that was included was 3 cells, you think that this drone was going to be low in power, but then you check that it behaves very well with this configuration. The acceleration is very good. This is possibly due to the good firmware that the ESCs or electronic speed controllers bring, as I mentioned, BLHeli_S. The battery included with the drone is 1500mAh.
Flight
The first thing surprising is that the first mode of flight was Acro, or without stabilization and the second mode stabilized. Possibly, Eachine should change this, to make it a little more accessible to beginners. Flying the Eachine Wizard X220 feels super good with 3 and 4 cell batteries. With a battery of 4 cells the drone becomes a small beast.
The controls in the stabilized mode respond very quickly and this allows adjusting the position of the drone more precisely. Beginners may need a slightly more docile third flight mode to fly this drone more safely. Eachine may have the Wizard X220 for intermediate and advanced pilots. In any case, the Eachine Wizard X220 flies beautifully finished from the box, but you can also make adjustments on a computer using BetaFlight or flashing the flight controller to CleanFlight.

Pros and cons of this Drone
- Very complete for its class
- The RTF version is already mounted and configured so you just have to take it out and blow it up.
- The 4mm carbon fiber chassis is very durable
- VTX has DIP switches for channel selection.
- Engine bearings aren't the best.
- No built-in battery voltage monitoring
Conclusions
If you want to start in the world of racing drones without complicating life by riding and setting up all the components yourself and be able to fly a finished product, this is a very interesting option. Its components are not premium (as is logical for its class...) but they are more than enough to be able to start in the exciting world of FPV racing with guarantees. It is a very good option to buy for initiates.
